Dr. Mikschal (Dolma) Johanison, earned a Doctorate degree in Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and has practiced acupuncture in the state of Maryland since 2009. Dolma also holds a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling. Having served 21 years in the US Military, she is a graduate of two Army Colleges. Dr. Johanison has served on several committees and Boards of Directors and Trustees for the last twenty years and is passionate about the health of both mind and body. She currently speaks publicly regarding the many benefits of whole-body wellness and integrative health practices, and is on faculty in the Acupuncture program at Lotus Professional College in Richmond, Va. She is also clinic supervisor in the acupuncture student clinic. Dr. Johanison’s most recent project is the publication of her first book, The Beginner’s Guide to the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, (https://us.singingdragon.com/products/the-beginners-guide-to-the-eight-extraordinary-vessels) an ancient acupuncture theory still practiced today. Dolma’s interests include animals, all things outdoors, and Buddhist philosophy.
